The Jackal

Shamanic Journey · Desert, Africa Riding a magnificent black stallion. Hooves kicking up clouds of golden sand. Sun high in the sky. Sand mounds far to left. Horse stopped. People arriving. Women's heads wrapped in colorful material. Children naked, old men with staffs. Hundreds and hundreds of people coming, but staying at a distance from me. They were sitting, covering the arid golden desert. I felt I was to speak to them of Unconditional Love, Evolution of the Soul and Forgiveness. I asked them to rise, and I pulled sand from small, painted pony bags. With my right hand I reached into the left bag and threw a handful of sand up into an arch over the people. It became a rainbow. Then my left hand into the bag on my right side throwing sand to the left over the people in the west. Over and over very quickly creating higher and higher arches of rainbow sand — left, right, left, right. I asked them all to stand and walk counter clockwise in rows — thousands of people circled black stallion and me. "Now stop — look to the sun." Faces and cheeks warming. I pulled a beam of light from the sun that created a great pyramid of light over the people. Each person was healing, and as they healed their bodies rose into the pyramid of light and they became soul without a physical body. Hundreds of souls, thousands of souls RISING into the eternal light. All were gone. Only silence remained. The full moon was discernible and silhouetted, and under this blue/gray moon was black wolf, howling in her power. She became Jackal, smaller, bony, gray, thin, and whisks of matted fur outlining the old world dog. She howled, painfully wanting to be released. Painfully her story. I begged her to come to me. Straight she came and stood up, removing her coat. She revealed her human form. I put on, awkwardly, this Jackal's outer garment and became JACKAL! I felt her pain. I stood on hind legs scratching at the sky. Human jackal and I danced around a fire in the cold of the desert night. Human jackal was happy — free. As jackal, I howled in pain — trapped in this earth story, this earth existence. I felt jackal's cold, her thirst, her bones, the hard un-giving earth underneath, her stalking, her killing, her paranoia, and her aloneness. "Release, release me." Human jackal heard my prayer. I, Jackal, rolled now in the sand trying to shed this skin. Digging deeper my hole, my coffin. With great deliberation, love and intention, human jackal with ceremony drove a shaft through my diaphragm, and I, with great and sacred gratitude, became SACRIFICE. My soul was released as two black ravens flew with my soul (one on the left and one on the right) into a black tunnel. We rose and rose and rose. It seemed much time passed in this ascending darkness until we reached the edge of a great light. We stood and observed an incredible Kingdom of Animals. Color beyond description, more beautiful than can be imagined. An elephant with toenails of abalone shells. An alligator made of tiny white beads with yellow and turquoise jewels embedded around his eyes and lips. A monkey (brown and white) riding on a huge butterfly. Twenty squirrels one on top of the other like a totem pole — each spinning in a different direction. The Hippopotamus came and the whale to speak of ancient knowledge they still hold. Cow said: "Relax. Be cool. Walk one foot at a time — slowly — surely — know your ground." Sparrows and canaries said we will make you happy — sing. A giant black bear bent way, way down and looked at us with piercing red ruby eyes. There was movement everywhere. I was pulled into the crowd and held high into the light. I was welcomed. I was love. I was free. I was beautiful. Antelope spoke: Important to acknowledge position (role) in group. Each must uphold their role to support group purpose. No one better or less than the other.

Crystal City Ship

Shamanic Journey I walked the Bridge of Ascension to the crystal city ship. I was greeted at the door and then moved forward. There were entities all about and busy. There were small, shrouded people giving directions and others shrouded and moving about. There were also tall, thin entities in the mix. Communication was telepathic. I was given directions and climbed a stairwell to a greater level and found myself in a room where I was in the presence of Great Spirit/Light. He said I came because I wanted to know — to remember. And I said, "But there is so much I can't begin to know." He infused me with rays of light as I kneeled on the ground. Women were thrilled. Heyoka = sacred clown. I will accept only that which I understand. Everything different, I call mystery and wait for understanding. The Snow Moon melted away. Grandfathers say knowledge flows in gently and spiritual growth happens slowly. It is nothing a person recognizes until change comes through one of his senses, usually the sense of feeling. Heyoka is a Native American Sioux (Lakota and Dakota) term for "fool" or "sacred clown." Heyoka empaths are very contrary in nature and tend to go against the grain. Heyoka are also considered the strongest of empaths.

Great White Cloud

Shamanic Journey Open land, night, small fire surrounded by large round white rocks. The Spirit Indian, Great White Cloud, was making a slow dance over the flames. He was low and hovering around the fire, bent at the knees. His arms were spread like wings. His dress: white deerskin cut like diamonds from his wrists to over his shoulders to his waist. Each wing was fringed with puffs of white rabbit fur and minimal beading. His legs were bare but he wore white moccasin boots up to his mid calf trimmed in white rabbit fur. A white cloud descended, or Great White Cloud became the cloud over the fire. I was in the center of the cloud and rose quickly to a great height in the sky. Raven shot out of the cloud like a bullet to the northwest direction. I wanted to fly and follow, but my arms were heavy, and I felt I was swimming in the air. The air was like heavy, thick water. I listened to spirit — "Let go, float" — and I spread my wings and followed Raven. Raven dipped to the left and descended, and I did the same, together at the same time. Below was a vast green, lush forest. We traveled for a time then beheld the snow-capped mountain. We flew up to the top and landed on a ledge. We went to view the world and the future. The ledge was on the right of the mountain. Silver Gray Wolf appeared and sat on my right. Wolf is very large. Raven is on my left. Cloud came and covered the mountaintop and us. We were blinded by the cloud. We went into the darkness of the sixth chakra. Our bodies tumbled backwards — feet over head, rolling back, back, down, down into the heart of the deep forest and landed in a dense, secure, secluded, private clearing. We became a circle of just a few facing an ancient shaman. The earth under us was rich, dark. He sat with a pipe, three small wooden bowls before him — haphazard, not lined up or orderly. He was very thin. His legs from knee to foot were light-skinned and bony. He had much hair, and I could not see his face. His hair was thickly braided. The ceremony he gave represented our origin, our purpose, our given image — our first beginning in the physical world. Secrets of the shaman were also given to us. (The drumming became more intense.) As we started to dissolve and ascend, we went back into all time, all energy — leaving the physical body. We became part of an infinite cloud that was so large. I could only discern this as energy, vibration — dense particles in the Great White Cloud.

First Man and the Spiral

Shamanic Journey Warriors — men. Moving forward in a vast space. Sand and mountains to the right. Force, power, bare feet, partially naked. First Man in the center in front. To his left and right are his confidants and supportive kindred spirits. Many warriors behind form a pattern — a diamond shape. Moving to a location of energetic power. First Man came forward to stand on the spot of energetic power. He raised his hands and arms straight up above his body. The warriors began circling, creating a spiral, clockwise to the right of First Man. A white light vortex began to form, enclosing First Man. The spiral condensed, each man's light expanded the vortex until all with arms extended vibrated, and the vortex was large and bright. From above, within the vortex, descended each warrior's guide, standing behind each warrior. The guides placed their hands on the shoulder of their warrior, and they continued moving forward in the spiral, moving the spiral outward, expanding. Each warrior and guide left the spiral going out in turn as the spiral turned in all directions. When all had dispersed only First Man stood in the vortex of the now vast spiral. And descending one by one, the guides and masters surrounded First Man. There were twelve. The pilgrimage went to the right to the mountains and highest peak. First Man sat at the peak. Each guide sat circling First Man on the mountain peak. Each stood in turn, one by one, looking out — east, south, west, north, all directions. Receiving light and teachings that First Man gave to them, they went out into the world in those directions to share with humankind. When they were finished, these masters ascended into the vortex. First Man was alone. The sun set and the sun rose for seven days. First Man came down from the mountain, walked to the right across the open plain to finish his days in silence. He remained on earth in the I Am Presence. I am all that is not. I am all that is.

First Man Returns, The Pulse of the One

Shamanic Journey First Man is drumming on the top of the mountain. He is calling people from their work, the fields and their play. A procession like lines of ants moving toward the mountain gathers at the base. He stands on top, arms and hands extended, radiating powerful energy to all below. He walks down, walks amongst the people, placing his hand on each — warriors, babies, mothers, husbands, old, young, and the lame. There are angry, fearful, and confused eyes. They bow their heads, humble. All are forgiven. White Cloud envelops the group with vortexes of energy. First Man ascends. People build fire, dance in the spiral, celebration and frenzy, and they feel the beat, the vibration of the ONE. They dance through the night and fall exhausted, embracing Mother Earth. Each became the pulse of the One. Light, love and glory in the spiral. The One Life. It's all a dance, and you have to feel its motion before you understand it. Freeing themselves moving with the sound. Dreaming the world away. Nothing exists but the sound. The cloud mist dispersed beneath the hot sun. The souls faded, blending with the dance itself until they melted into blackness and became the light.

Flight to Ascension, Activating the Master of Light

Shamanic Journey I was being carried high on a large stretcher in a procession in the street. A high ceremony. I was either dead or drugged. Drugged, I think. I was carried for quite a while — a somber procession. Straight ahead was a huge fire, and I was placed in the fire. I rose laterally, rose from the fire, and on my solar plexus sat the Ba, a large black bird with turquoise and yellow markings on its chest. I sat erect and confident as we rose. Other birds joined and their configuration formed wings underneath me. We traveled upwards a long distance. A filtered light, as if from a beacon, was present like flat filmy sheets. We went into this light. I changed: I had white wings and flew with the birds with Ba in the lead. On and on, the light became more intense. As we traveled closer to the source, a tremendous feeling of LOVE overwhelmed me. The birds disappeared and I began to dissolve into particles of light, dispersing like a cloud of crystal molecules. Out of the intense light two arms reached out to me and the arms went through me, now known as crystal particles. The arms took shape and were connected to a body and head — my Higher Self Being reflected to me. I took the shape of a white illuminated bird and waited to go beyond this space, plateau, and love of consciousness. I was not allowed to go closer to the big light and through to the other side. It was not my time.

Armored Man

I am a clown, a seer, a tear in your armor. How many years have you worn that stone face only to live in a vessel of conformity. Hey, come out and see my monkey face and crazy antics that shake your shame. I am no name but come to rescue your soul in that box. Discomfort so strong you run to the sea to quench the fire. You run from me. But I dance in your footprints in the sand, laughing too. You cannot escape me. I will meet you in the waters deep and give you choice. I long to hear you speak of living and take the chance to feel forgiving of all you have denied. Breathe, Armored Man. Ride the crescent of dangerous waves that wash you ashore. Now you are the warrior we are waiting for.
